SPECIAL UPDATE: 4 May 2020
Dear Friends and Patients,
Dr Roche and the team at Guardian Dental hope you are safe and well through these difficult times.
You may have heard that dental offices have permission to open! In truth, we are permitted to resume 'urgent and emergency care'. Regular check ups, cleanings, and non-urgent care is not yet allowed.
In addition, there is a limited availability of required medical items at this time (appropriate face masks, isolation gowns, etc). We are working on sourcing these items responsibly and not drawing them away from critical care areas.
So unfortunately Guardian Dental is not quite ready to re-open our doors. We are hoping to be back to help our patients shortly, but it may not be until later this month.
We truly appreciate your patience with us, and look forward to seeing you in the 'new normal'!
All the best,
Dr Katherine Roche and Guardian Dental team

SPECIAL UPDATE: 23 March 2020
Dear Friends and Patients,
We are all doing our best to help each other by staying away from each other!
Guardian Dental is doing our part as recommended by Alberta Health Services and the Alberta Dental Association and College to limit any face-to-face exposure of our entire population at this time.
Dr Roche is available for advice, screening, and direction if you have questions, concerns, or dental emergencies by contacting [email protected]
This email will be monitored very closely to provide a timely response. Feel free to just let us know that everything's OK!
Thank you all, and warmest wishes for you and your families in this tough time!
-Dr Katherine Roche

SPECIAL UPDATE: 17 March 2020
Please note that Guardian Dental is currently delaying any non-emergency dental treatment due to the Covid-19 health crisis. Our office is temporarily closed.
We take the health of our patients and team very seriously. In Alberta we have world-class infection control protocols, but this situation is unprecedented. Dentistry is up-close and personal, and as everyone is being instructed to practice 'social distancing' to reduce the spread of the Covid-19 virus in our community, we felt it was essential to do our part to protect our vulnerable citizens.
If you call our office for help or advice, please talk to Kristie or leave a message.
If you are healthy (no flu-like symptoms), but are experiencing a dental emergency, we will direct you to a local dentist who has reduced their practice to helping with emergencies only. Please be assured that emergency dental care is essential and safe.
If you are symptomatic with Covid-19 or flu-like symptoms, and are experiencing any kind of medical emergency (including dental) please call 911 to be directed to appropriate care.
We all hope this situation will not last long, and we will be back in action caring for your dental health as soon as possible.
Stay healthy, Stay safe!
All the best,
-Dr Katherine Roche and the Guardian Dental team
