Our Fees
Nobody likes surprises when it comes to paying for dental work, that's why we take the time to explain what will be done and how much it will cost*. Whenever possible, we offer you several treatment options based on what works for you. We are completely transparent about our fees for dental work.
All our fees are set using the 2019 Alberta Dental Association + College Fee Guide. The fee guide can be found here.
Our fees are 10 percent higher than the fee guide. This gets you truly personalized**, minimally invasive dental care, done in an environmentally responsible manner and in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. You'll walk out with a beautiful smile, eager to tell your family and friends who your dentist is.
There are also 3 types of treatment where Guardian Dental charges more than the Alberta Fee Guide + 10%:
The reason we charge more for these restorations?
Good question! Usually dentists simply place crowns instead of doing this sort of restoration, and they take a lot of time and effort to do well. In many cases, Dr. Roche can use a modern technique called the Bioclear Method that enables her to restore your tooth without resorting to a crown. This technique requires several precise steps to achieve beautiful, long-lasting results that preserve healthy tooth structure. In the end, you get a beautifully restored tooth in just one visit and it will still cost you less than a crown.

* Please note, that we provide estimates to the best of our ability. Dr. Roche does her best to predict treatment required, but this can change depending on the situation. Also, we are not responsible for the actual amount your insurance will pay. Sometimes insurance companies don't follow their own pre-estimates or we don't know your previous spending amounts.
** For example, we assess every patient for their decay risk, and take x-rays accordingly: low risk patients with stable teeth only require x-rays every two years, not every year or every 6 months. Also, our hygienists recommend a cleaning schedule based on your individual situation. It could be advised you get our professional assistance yearly, every six months, or every 3 or 4 months for high risk management of perio issues. Studies have shown that frequent professional cleanings are important to prevent tooth decay and bone loss.
